I guess we cannot say we are “celebrating” it… Rather commemorating those who was able to make the journey. Maybe the last in their lives… I never share anything personal, but today I will.
My disabled 62 year old sister (on the photo with her 82 year old husband) miraculously made it out alive when Kyiv was surrounded. The neighboring house was shelled, their apartment damaged. They are lucky to have found safe haven in Prague…It breaks my heart to hear my sister say:”When I get back to Kyiv…” Chances are it might not happen due to her very poor health.
