Second night in Ukraine

My second night in Kyiv I was woken up by the air raid alert… it was special one: »increased air threat in Kyiv ». Usually it is just « air threat »… I had to hurry up and get dressed and run to a shelter. Piece of advice: don’t sleep naked when staying in a country at war! Luckily shelter is right next door. I was the only one there! People get tired and disregard the alerts, saying » The center of Kyiv is pretty safe. Rockets never land downtown ». The Black Swan effect came to mind, which can be summed up like this: if you never saw a black swan, it does not mean it does not exist.

That night Kyiv village 25 miles away from me got severely damaged by russki rockets. I came to learn that they launch the heaviest attacks at night, while people are sleeping…

I try to write update on my daily life for two main reasons:FIRST and foremost is to continue raising awareness of this brutal war, SECOND is to help me remember what is going on. Remembering those horrors will keep me motivated to continue working on my art and fundraising for trauma medical supplies for Ukraine
