Delivery of medical supplies at rehabilitation center

Let's go back to July 8th, a day filled with purpose and generousity.  Our aid always goes to a specific location/need, and thanks to the kindness of Ukrainians living in China, we were able to fullfill “ the needs list”, complied by doctors in a rehabilitation center Galichina, in Lviv area. This logistical feat was organized by my dear friend @Tenya Kuzmych and Світлана Дзюма- Чан

With YOUR donations and Proceeds from my artwork, I purchased 50 crutches. We had the opportunity to talk to the rehab doctors and learn about the challenges they face. Ukrainian health system was not prepared to deal with a large numbers of patients without limbs. Simply there is a shortage of staff and knowledge of how to ( for example) provide prosthetics for those who lost upper limbs. They are very high tech and are extremely expensive. About 20% of the clients lose hope and become uninterested in rehabilitation. It is a challenge to restore their will for recovery.  Tenya Kuzmych
